Ivan Leuscher is a young writer / poet
Who writes under the pen names 'Ivan Lyon' and 'Crimson Zeitgeist'
Ivan was born in Singapore in February 1981 and is one of five siblings.
His parents are originally from Prague in the Czech Republic.
They were refugees fleeing the Soviet Invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968.
Ivan has been writing short stories and poetry since the early 1990's.
Ivan has spent most of his early childhood and Adolescence living overseas.
Including time spent in North America, Europe, and the Far East.
Ivan won a scholarship to read Classics, English Literature
and Ancient and Modern History at the University of Tasmania
And then continued his post-graduate research
while travelling through the Balkans and Asia Minor.
Ivan holds an Associate Diploma of Arts
(Professional Writing and Editing)
from the University of Tasmania
Some of Ivan's work has previously appeared in LiNQ, Verandah,
and E-Cube Magazine a New Zealand publication.
In the new year Ivan's work will be featured in
Australian Short Stories.
Ivan is currently working on a collective works
of short stories and
Japanese Haiku & Senryu poetry
Entitled 'Poetry From A Floating Dream World'
some of which appears on this website.
This collection of poetry and short stories will be published by
Minerva Press in the spring of 2009.
Written under his pen name Ivan Lyon.
Ivan now lives in Legana, Northern Tasmania in Australia.
And spends time commuting from Australia overseas with his job.
